We intend to have a surplus to be donated in support of the New Orleans Navy League program that sends top local chefs to cook New Orleans-style meals for the sailors on our namesake ships the USS New Orleans (currently deployed to Japan), and the USS Louisiana (home ported in the Seattle-Tacoma area). Other potential beneficiaries could be other deployed military units affiliated with the State of Louisiana. We also invite local active-duty service members (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy) to march with us in the parade and have a special Mardi Gras experience.
